Anita Wilson invited me to Pressure Point Studios while they were working on wrapping up her new project. Many of you guys will remember Anita as the amazing lead vocal on “Happy Being Me” recorded by Donald Lawrence (Law of Confession Part 1). Well, she is working on a classic new project that I believe is bigger than a genre, a race, and transcends any other barrier that people may want to lock it into. Anita teamed up with Rick Robinson (writer of “More Than Anything”) to produce her new treasure. Her single “Speechless” has been rotating on the radio and is a preview of the greatness that is to be revealed on her new project. Her music has created its own genre called “Worship Soul” and I fully agree with the term as it describes exactly what I felt when I heard many of the tunes. Anita mentioned some of the musical influences to be The Clark Sisters, The Hawkins Family, Aretha Franklin, Chaka Khan and to my surprise Prince. I am so excited for Anita and the gift she is about to offer to the world. The world is starving for good music and Anita Wilson has a solution!
